Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter to hold free pet vaccine clinic

LUFKIN, Texas (KETK) – A free pet vaccine clinic is happening on May 17 at the Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter that aims to prevent the spread of diseases and ensure animals well-being.

According to a release, Kurth Memorial Animal Services is offering free canine DAPPV and feline 1-HCP vaccines, through Petco Love’s donation.

“Petco’s goal in partnering with us is to ensure that every pet has access to essential vaccinations, regardless of their owners’ financial circumstances,” Morgan Williams, animal services manager, said.

The event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at 1901 Hill St.

Williams said they intend to hold vaccine clinics once a month until the vaccines donated are depleted.
