Kristin Cavallari “Suspected” Jay Cutler Was Trying to Keep Money From Her During Their Marriage

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler’s divorce has become extremely public and extremely messy, and now, a source is out here telling Us Weekly that financial disagreements “plagued” their marriage. “Kristin always knew that Jay was trying to keep some of his money from her,” the source says. “She suspected this for a while and found some type of proof.”

This news comes amid Kristin claiming Jay wouldn’t let her buy a home (they’re currently living together…yikes) unless she agreed to his custody plan and her claim that Jay “hurried to file his complaint as a way of punishing her” after finding out about her plans to move.

Meanwhile, a source close to Kristin just told People that Jay “would make her cry all the time during production [of her show]. He talked down to her and belittled her,” and eventually, “she couldn’t take it anymore.” Another source added that Kristin has been “struggling” in her marriage for “at least three years.”

Reminder, the couple originally dropped news of their divorce just four days ago and released a joint statement that seemed pretty amicable, saying, “With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of.”
