Kristen Stewart Was Told She Could Get a Marvel Movie If She Didn't Hold Her GF's Hand in Public
Kristen Stewart opens up about her bisexuality and what it was like dating Robert Pattinson in a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar UK.
Kristen was allegedly told if she didn't do PDA with her girlfriends, she could possibly get a role as a Marvel character.
We all know Kristen Stewart, right? Twilight darling turned Hollywood starlet, infamous Robert Pattinson heartbreaker, and overall badass? Well, it's been quite some time since we've done a lil deep dive into her romantic life, and she knows that. Which is why Kristen is now spilling all the tea about her dating past, and recently opening up about her relationships with both men and women. We stan!
In her recent Harper's Bazaar UK cover story, Kristen briefly touched base on her pretty private relationship with Robert, and why it was super hush hush. "When me and Rob were together, we did not have an example to go by," she explained. "So much was taken from us that, in trying to control one aspect, we were just like, 'No, we will never talk about it. Never. Because it’s ours,'" she said.
You might remember that Kristen and Robert had a pretty nasty breakup in 2012 after it came out that she was having an affair with one of her movie directors. Kristen and Robert got back together the following year, but broke up for good. Four years later in 2017, Kristen came out as a bisexual woman.
Kristen also opened up to Bazaar about why she felt it was necessary for her to come out. "I think I just wanted to enjoy my life," she said. "That took precedence over protecting my life, because in protecting it, I was ruining it." Of course, she was informed by people in her life that her sexuality might hurt her career.
"I have fully been told, 'If you just like do yourself a favor, and don't go out holding your girlfriend's hand in public, you might get a Marvel movie.' I don't want to work with people like that," Kristen said, which is honestly SO f*cked up. It's basically 2020 for crying out loud!
Regardless of what her haters say, Kristen still likes who she likes. She recently wrapped up her romance with model Stella Maxwell, and is now dating screenwriter Dylan Meyer. Props to Kristen for living her truth!
