Just a day after we learned that Prince William ain't afraid of no ghostKristen Stewart entered the chat, saying that she had a paranormal experience of her own. During an upcoming appearance on Exactly Right's Ghosted! By Roz Hernandez podcast, the Twilight alumnae shared that she saw an apparition of a woman in "colonial garb" — cue the Bridesmaids jokes — when she was just 15 years old. The star elaborated, saying that she was staying in Regina, Canada, at the time to film a "movie about ghosts" (People guesses that it was 2007's The Messengers) and was bunkered down at a "very old" hotel with her mom.

It started with a water bottle being knocked over, which she assumed was due to a cat named Max. However, she soon realized that Max was asleep and the situation escalated from there.

"And then all of a sudden I felt like my legs had been kind of pushed down. 'Cause they were up — like, my knees were up," Stewart shared. She insisted that she "was genuinely not sleeping" and told Hernandez that being asleep "was another thing that people tried to debunk [her] on" when she shared the story with friends and family.

"They were like, 'Maybe you were dreaming.' I was like dude, I wasn’t even laying fully down," she added. "Then all of a sudden, I was straightened out."

"So it made me open my eyes, and when I opened my eyes, it was a lady in colonial garb," Stewart continued. "There was a lady in old-school clothes, with darkened features and rollers in her hair, and sort of looming over my bed, as high as the top of the drapery. I couldn't make a sound for a very long time. You could not fucking convince me that I did not see a ghost."

To add just another layer of spooky to the whole ordeal, Stewart shared that she also experienced the lights flickering. Stewart's storytime coincides with the release of her new Hulu show, Living for the Dead, which has her narrating a ghosthunting show starring queer investigators, including her friend CJ Romero. She also shared an incident she had with Romero where she witnessed what she believed was her pal being possessed by an unknown entity.

"I was telling this story of [Ryan] because we had just lost him, and then CJ comes back from driving his friend to the gate," Stewart remembered. "He’s walking down the stairs and suddenly just stops and kind of — I mean, not to take a profound and delicate scenario and make it funny, but he looked all of a sudden so truly possessed, and I did think maybe he was having a weird episode."

"He just didn’t hear a word I said and turned toward this wall and just sort of walked into it," she said. "And then stopped and was like, 'Hey, whoa,' and then starts immediately uncontrollably crying."

Stewart also spoke about how happy she is that the show went from being a "funny idea" into a real series. While it may seem like a silly, lighthearted romp, she insists it is "moving and meaningful." Audiences will get a chance to find out when they watch on Hulu. The series is streaming now.

“It’s so cool and enlivening that me and my best friend CJ Romero had this funny idea and now it’s a show,” she said in a statement. “It started as a bit of a hypothetical silly pipe dream and now I am so proud to have shepherded something that is as moving and meaningful as it is truly a gay old time.”
