Kristen Stewart Gives the Blazer a Punky Makeover
Kristen Stewart is a bit of a style rebel—no matter the occasion, she always puts her own distinctive twist on red carpet classics, whether it be an evening dress (often times, it’s Chanel) or a tailored suit. Her fashion sense tends to veer a bit grungy. Combined with more tailored pieces, her outfits are often all about the artful clash. Case and point: yesterday, at the Venice Film Festival, the actress put her spin on the classic blazer, giving it a fresh new punky makeover.
Stewart, who stars in the upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot, wore a shrunken blazer by Thom Browne for her appearance, which had textural panelling all over (stripes against chevron, for one). Then, she paired it with a bra top underneath, as well as two punk staples: ripped denim and hefty creeper shoes. Finished off with small, round sunglasses and cool silver chains? It made for an unexpected take on a preppy staple that was anything but.
