Kristen Bell, Sterling K. Brown, Kate McKinnon and More Kick Off 2018 Emmys with Epic Musical Number

Leave it to Saturday Night Live cast members Kate McKinnon and Keenan Thompson to bring it for one of the more memorable 2018 Emmy Awards openers: a catchy, totally upbeat musical number all about diversity.

Yep, an impressive crew of Hollywood glitterati—Kristen Bell, Sterling K. Brown, Ricky Martin, RuPaul and John Legend included—joined McKinnon and Thompson on stage to belt out a song about how this year's awards features the most diverse group of nominees in Emmys history. The chorus, which referenced (in jest) the often-discussed diversity problem on TV? "I'm going to say it. We solved it!"

The tune didn't miss a beat, touching on topics ranging from the #MeToo movement to Roseanne.

Proof tonight's emcees Colin Jost and Michael Che, also of SNL, aren't messing around for their first-ever hosting gig.
