Kristen Bell is defending her parenting choices, no matter what anyone else thinks of them.

The Bad Moms actress recently visited The Kelly Clarkson Show, chatting with powerhouse vocalist and host, Kelly Clarkson, about allowing her two daughters—Lincoln, 9, and Delta, 8—to drink non-alcoholic beer.

While she did admit that it "sounds insane," she further insisted that "context is important," noting her husband and the two girls' dad Dax Shepard's history with substance abuse—something the actor has been transparent about in the past.

"He's a recovering addict," Bell said of Shepard, "but he likes non-alcoholic beer, so he'd pop one open, he'd have [our oldest daughter] on his chest, and we'd walk and look at the sunset," she told Clarkson.

The Good Place star continued, providing insight into exactly how (as she perceives it) her kids developed the acquired taste for themselves. "As a baby, she was pawing at it, and sometimes she'd suck the rim of it. So I think it feels to her like something special, something daddy, something family," the mom-of-two said.

Bell promised that the drinks contain zero percent alcohol, and that since establishing the routine, her kids have even asked for non-alcoholic beer in public while eating out—though it's not something she necessarily encourages.

"We've been at restaurants where she's said, 'Do you have any non-alcoholic beer?' And I'm like, maybe we just keep that for home time," the actress jokingly divulged.

At the same time, though, she doubled down that she doesn't find her daughters' mature beverage palette to be a problem. "But then I'm sort of like, you can judge me if you want, I'm not doing anything wrong," Bell quipped, adding of people who take issue with the choice, "That's your problem."

The 43-year-old actress has often shared moments with her girls online, recently giving a glimpse into a "legendary weekend" where the family enjoyed themselves at a Lizzo concert.
