  • On the eve of releasing the new season of Veronica Mars a week earlier than anticipated, Kristen Bell treated her fans to another delightful surprise.

  • Bell, who just turned 39, shared a funny Instagram video on her birthday, in which you can hear her kids guessing her age, and let's just say, they're very off.

Kristen Bell just celebrated two milestones: the (surprise!) early drop of Veronica Mars season 4 on Hulu, and her birthday.

The Good Place star turned 39 on Thursday, but if you ask her kids, she's either quickly approaching retirement age or is a bonafide octogenarian. Her two daughters, Lincoln, 6, and Delta, 4, who she shares with her hubby Dax Shepard, were a tad off when Bell asked them to guess her age. Or, perhaps, like their pop who shoots it straight in his candid podcast, The Armchair Expert, and their mom who is always open, they're just (trying to) keep it real. And, they are children so everyone over the age of eight looks like dinosaurs to them, even if, based on this this makeup-free video, it appears that Bell bathes in a vat of anti-aging creams.

In an adorable Instagram post, Bell shared that Delta assumes she's turning 63, while "Linc" says she looks more like 89. Luckily, Bell has a rad sense of humor and doesn't take anything–including birthdays—too seriously.

She once told TODAY that she's fibbed to her kids about that very thing. "I've also lied to them about when their birthday is," she said. "Well, like, if it's a Wednesday, and we can't celebrate and we're both working late, then guess what? Your birthday is Saturday. They don't know!"

She aptly captioned the post, "My kids are kind. I dont care if they cant do math."

This year, in lieu of sloth memes (if you've yet to experience the joy of this video then consider it your birthday), or for you to watch the new season of Veronica Mars, she's asking her fans to donate to InspireDR, a mentoring program for boys in the Dominican Republic. And while you're at it, we're sure she wouldn't mind if you commented on her IG that she doesn't look a day over 80.
