Krispy Kreme Is Thanking First Responders With Free Coffee And Doughnuts

Krispy Kreme is celebrating National First Responders Day, October 28, with some freebies. First responders who visit a participating Krispy Kreme with a valid ID or badge will receive a free Original Glazed Doughnut and a free hot or iced coffee. According to an Instagram post from the chain, the offer is their way of saying thank you to those who work in that particular field.

In that same Instagram post, Krispy Kreme offered additional clarification on who qualifies for the free doughnut and coffee.

"For this Act of Joy, we are honoring the brave members of our community who are first on the scene of, or first to respond to, emergencies. For that reason, hospital staff do not qualify for this offer, but stay tuned for other upcoming offers to enjoy!" they wrote in response to a customer's question.

If you're not a first responder, Krispy Kreme will still have plenty of deals available to any and everyone over Halloween weekend, and on the actual holiday.

This weekend, they're bringing back Saturday Scary Sharies, an offer that lets fans receive a $2 Original Glazed dozen when they purchase any dozen. And on Halloween, anyone who visits a Krispy Skreme shop dressed in costume can receive one free doughnut of their choice. No purchase necessary. If you're hungry for more, the shop has also released a spooky collection of new, Halloween-inspired doughnuts.

We see a lot of doughnuts in our future over the next few days.
