Krispy Kreme Now Has a Glazed Donut That’s STUFFED With Coffee Filling
It doesn’t look like Krispy Kreme is planning to slow down on its stuffed glazed donuts, and we’re more than OK with that. Between the pumpkin spice donut with cheesecake filling, glazed donut with birthday cake batter filling, and those two Reese’s stuffed donuts, it’s hard to remember a time before the donut and coffee chain filled its glazed donuts. Now — you guessed it — there’s a new one that is of specific interest to coffee drinkers.
The Original Filled Coffee Kreme Doughnut consists of the classic glazed donut that is stuffed with Coffee Kreme filling. As with the other filled donuts, this coffee one is around for a limited time. So carve out a few minutes so pick some up from Sept. 23 to 29. The donuts with the light brown coffee filling are identifiable by the three cream lines on them.
Since Sept. 29 is National Coffee Day, Krispy Kreme is also offering a tasty perk. On that Sunday, you can get one free Original Glazed donut and one free brewed coffee — no purchase necessary! So it’d be worth your while to plan to pick up the Original Filled Coffee Kreme Doughnut on Sunday and get a free regular glazed and a cup of coffee while you’re there.
“We not only have the best doughnuts, we have the best coffee,” Dave Skena, chief marketing officer for Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation, said in a press release. “And in celebration of National Coffee Day you can get a free coffee and a free doughnut at Krispy Kreme, because you know what else we have … the best customers.”
