Krispy Kreme Is Giving Away Free Coffee and Donuts on National Coffee Day

Krispy Kreme is often generous with free donuts—in the past, they’ve had free donuts for National Donut Day, free donuts in exchange for disappointing pumpkin spice products, and even gave away multiple passes for a year of free donuts on St. Patrick’s Day. Now, they’re giving out free donuts again, but for an entirely different food holiday: National Coffee Day. And of course you can’t celebrate without a cup of coffee, so they’re giving those out for free, too.

On National Coffee Day—that’s Sunday, September 29—head to your local Krispy Kreme and you can pick up a free brewed coffee and an original glazed donut. That’s all there is to it, you don’t even have to make a purchase to score your freebies. Just show up hungry, and you can celebrate Coffee Day with a free cup of Joe and a sweet breakfast treat.

Since one day of celebration isn’t quite enough, Krispy Kreme is kicking off the coffee festivities early by adding a new brew-inspired donut to its menu. Beginning September 23 and running through September 29, Krispy Kreme’s new Original Filled Coffee Kreme Donut will be available at stores nationwide. It’s the classic glazed donut we all know and love stuffed with a coffee-flavored cream filling. If you already love dunking your donuts in coffee, it sounds like the ideal breakfast treat.

Thankfully, the new donut’s arrival overlaps with National Coffee Day, so you can pick one up while you’re at Krispy Kreme for your free coffee and donut. Since coffee’s day of celebration falls a few days into fall, there are plenty of other ways you can celebrate, too (Starbucks has plenty of pumpkin-inspired drinks, as you know). You could also experiment with making your own coffee drinks at home—just don’t forget to grab a donut if you do.
