Krispy Kreme wants to reward you for doing your civic duty.

On Tuesday, March 5, a.k.a "Super Tuesday," the bakery chain is giving everyone the chance to come in and get two Original Glazed doughnuts absolutely free. As Krispy Kreme noted in a press release, it's their version of "Super TWOsday."

"While encouraging everyone to vote, our primary role on Super TWOsday will be to sweeten your day," Dave Skena, the global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, shared in the statement, adding that there's no purchase necessary. You don't even need to show proof of voting, though getting an "I voted" sticker never hurts.

Don't worry if your state doesn't have an election tomorrow. The free doughnut offer is available in shops across the nation, not just in those who are overseeing primary elections. The doughnuts are available both in-shop and via the drive-thru.

Let's use this Krispy Kreme promotion for a quick civics lesson. Super Tuesday is the date when the largest number of states vote in a presidential primary or a caucus. Tomorrow, the states of Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia will all be voting in a primary. Alaska and Utah will hold caucuses. And it's not just the presidential race that's at stake. As NPR reported, voters will also be voting in primaries for candidates across the Senate and House, as well as for gubernatorial elections. As for when we'll know the results of each election, NPR says that could take hours or even days as the elections take place over six different time zones — not including mail-in ballots — and some fights are looking rather contentious. (Learn way way more about Super Tuesday by reading NPR's full explainer.)

So, really, it's a great time to go vote, then pick up two doughnuts and relax as you await the final tally. And, when you do, Krispy Kreme would love it if you shared your little “Doughmocracy” treat on social media with #KrispyKreme. That way, you can spread a little sugary joy and some voter awareness all in one.
