Krispy Kreme Is Bringing Back a Fan Fave Doughnut for a Very Limited Time

If you donned red, white, and blue and popped into Krispy Kreme for a free Original Glazed doughnut on the 4th of July, and now you have a taste for more glazed goodness, give it a couple of days. The doughnut shop is bringing back a fan favorite for lovers of glazed doughnuts, but don’t blink or you’ll miss them. These treats will be around truly for a limited time.
Krispy Kreme introduced the doughnut in question in 2017 to celebrate that year’s total solar eclipse, and it’s rarely made an appearance in the bakery since. But this Friday and Saturday only, July 7 and 8, Krispy Kreme locations will be filled with the enticing aroma of a variation on the Original Glazed that will surely have doughnut lovers lining up to get their hands on one (or a dozen) before it disappears.
A Krispy Kreme Doughnut for World Chocolate Day
July 7 is World Chocolate Day, and to celebrate, Krispy Kreme will fill its shelves with Chocolate Glazed doughnuts. They’ll be available on the chocolate holiday and also the following day, and then they’ll disappear again.
Made just like the Original Glazed, with added chocolate in the glaze, those who choose to step inside the bakery (rather than go through the drive-thru) might catch a glimpse of the chocolate glaze waterfall that the piping hot doughnuts pass under. In the past, Krispy Kreme has also turned that waterfall pink for limited-time Strawberry Glazed doughnuts.
There’s no word if the bakery will light the Krispy Kreme “Hot Now” sign outside for the chocolate glazed the same way they do for the original version. Krispy Kreme fans know that when they pass the bakery and the sign is lit, that means the Original Glazed doughnuts are freshly made.

How to Get Kripsy Kreme Chocolate Glazed Doughnuts
There are several ways to get your hands on the limited-time Krispy Kreme Chocolate Glazed Doughnuts. On World Chocolate Day, July 7, and the following day, July 8, head to a participating Krispy Kreme bakery and walk in or go through the drive-thru and order the special variety.
Customers can also order ahead through the Krispy Kreme app or website and go to the store to pick their doughnuts up. And in some locations, Krispy Kreme offers delivery. They’ll bring this limited-time Chocolate Glazed doughnut right to you at your home or your office.
