Krispy Kreme Officially Put The Classic Reese's Donut On The Menu For Good After Fans Voted
Update, August 17, 2020: In late July, Krispy Kreme brought back three of its Reese's-flavored donuts for a limited time. It was up to fans to decide which one was the greatest (or "Greataste") of all time, and the people have spoken. The classic Reese's donut is officially on the menu permanently so you can get your peanut butter fix from Krispy Kreme whenever you please.

The classic Reese's donut is anything but simple and features a donut filled with Reese's peanut butter kreme that's then dipped in Hershey's chocolate icing. It's topped with mini peanut butter chips and a drizzle of chocolate and peanut butter. Basically, this donut has the works, but don't take our word for it being worthwhile; it was voted as the best of the three Reese's donuts by customers, which is why it's now on the Krispy Kreme menu for good. What a delight!
Original Post, July 23, 2020: I'd make a convincing case for the original glazed donut being the greatest Krispy Kreme offering of all time. It's simple, classic, sweet, and delightfully soft and chewy. But I digress, because what's really important right now is that Krispy Kreme is bringing back three Reese's-flavored donuts, and it's up to fans to decide which one will get a permanent spot on the menu.
Starting tomorrow, July 24, participating Krispy Kreme locations will be throwing it back by offering three Reese's donuts that were sold over the last three years. From there, it's up to fans to vote for which donut reigns supreme and will earn the title as "Greataste of All Time." Yup—that spelling error is totally intentional. Get it? Grea-TASTE! Cute.

The three returning donuts are the classic Reese's, Reese's Outrageous Donut, and the Reese's Original Filled Chocolate Lover's Donut. The classic Reese's donut first debuted back in 2017 and features a donut filled with Reese's peanut butter kreme, dipped in Hershey's chocolate icing, and topped with mini PB chips and a drizzle of chocolate and peanut butter sauce.
From 2018, the Reese's Outrageous Donut is a chocolate donut dipped in Hershey's chocolate icing and topped with Reese's pieces and a drizzle of caramel and peanut butter icing. Finally, the Reese's Original Filled Chocolate Lover's Donut from 2019 is a chocolate donut filled with Reese's peanut butter kreme, dipped in Hershey's chocolate icing, and garnished with some Reese's peanut butter icing.
The donuts will be available at participating Krispy Kreme locations from July 24 to August 16, and guests are encouraged to vote for their favorite on social media by tagging @krispykreme and using #TheGreataste and #KrispyKreme. From there, a winning donut will be chosen in August and that Reese's donut will get a spot on the menu for good. So yeah, there's a lot on the line...choose wisely.
