Krispy Kreme Has 4 Brand-New Doughnuts for a Limited Time

Now we're feeling lucky.

When you think of St. Patrick's Day, you probably think of corned beef, Irish soda bread, and lots of Guinness. But beyond the Irish classics, there are, of course, some fast food chains with limited-time menu items to honor the March holiday. And this year, McDonald's Shamrock Shake and Dairy Queen's Mint Brownie Blizzard have some serious competition. That's because Krispy Kreme is getting in on the action with a St. Patrick's Day doughnut collection that will make fans feel like they've got the luck of the Irish on their side.

Krispy Kreme Introduces New Doughnuts for St. Patrick's Day

Krispy Kreme's St. Patrick's Day collection features four brand-new doughnut flavors: Luck of the Rainbow Doughnut, Shamrock Cookies 'N Kreme, Plaid Party Doughnut, and Shooting Shamrock Doughnut.

The Luck of the Rainbow Doughnut is an Original Glazed Doughnut dipped in green icing, decorated with a rainbow explosion sprinkle blend, and topped with a buttercream cloud.

The Shamrock Cookies 'N Kreme Doughnut is a special collaboration with Oreo, and one we are especially looking forward to trying. The doughnut features an unglazed doughnut filled with "cookies & Kreme" filling made with Oreo cookies, then dipped in white icing with green drizzles and St. Patrick's fusion sprinkles.

The Plaid Party Doughnut is an unglazed doughnut filled with white Kreme filling, dipped in chocolate icing, and drizzled with green icing.

And finally, the Shooting Shamrock Doughnut is an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in light green icing with a green icing swirl and topped with a shamrock sugar piece.

And if those weren't enough to get you feeling lucky, Krispy Kreme is also bringing back the fan-favorite, O’-so-popular green O’riginal Glazed Doughnut. The verdant treat is simply a green version of the chain's signature Original Glazed Doughnut.

The four doughnuts in the St. Patrick's Day collection will join Krispy Kreme’s menu on March 11, where they’ll be sold by the dozen or á la carte for a limited time. The O’riginal Glazed Doughnut will be available March 15 through 17 and can be purchased in stores individually and by the dozen.

For the jackpot at the end of the rainbow, guests wearing green who visit Krispy Kreme in-shop or via drive-thru, March 15 through 17 will get one free O’riginal Glazed Doughnut, no purchase necessary. If that's not worth celebrating, I don't know what is.
