Kris Jenner "Hacks" Kylie Cosmetics' Social Media to Announce Her Mother's Day Collection

UPDATE May 10, 2018: As promised, more images of the Kris Jenner x Kylie Cosmetics collection have surfaced, this time via Trendmood1. Other than the Pressed Powder Eyeshadow Palette that was leaked two days ago, now we have a pressed powder palette of warm coral shimmery shades of highlighter and blush.

The shade names, read clockwise starting from the top left, are: It's Snowing Pussy Willows, Money Doesn't Grow on Trees, Your Sister's Going to Jail (a classic and a personal fave reference), and I Raised You On Mac'N'Cheese. Quite liberal with the shade-naming, but they're great references to Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Trendmood1 goes further to report that in the collection there will be:

  • "1 Pressed Powder Palette

  • 1 #EyeshadowPalette

  • 1 #Lipstick Give Me a Kiss

  • 1 #LipPencil Give Me a Kiss

  • 1 #Lip Set #Momager (8) different shades of Glosses, Velvets & Mattes"

Also, if you peep Trendmood1's Instagram stories right now, they give you some sweeping close-ups of the packaging.

Everyone knows that Kris Jenner isn't just a momager — she's the unshakable, omnipotent mastermind (mastermom?) behind the multifaceted empire that is the Kardashian-Jenner superfamily. That's why the only thing truly surprising about the fact that she took over Kylie Cosmetics' social media accounts today is that it hadn't happened sooner. See for yourself if you haven't visited the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook in the last few hours (and really, who hasn't?) — they've all been transformed into Kris Cosmetics accounts.

The first sign of the takeover came when the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram account posted a short, ominous video on Monday implying the account would be hacked, along with the caption "hi dolls. ready for me to takeover? guess who.." Today, Kylie Jenner posted a message to her personal Instagram Story: a black screen with the white Classic font, simply and ominously reading "@kyliecosmetics is hacked."

Anyone who clicks through on the username will find themselves on the Instagram account page for Kris Cosmetics, complete with a glamorous photo of the matriarch; the same goes for Kylie Cosmetics' Twitter and Facebook accounts. And don't even think of trying to get to the accounts by typing the original Kylie Cosmetics URLs into your browser — they even changed those to reflect the usurpation. (Don't bother trying to scoop up the @kyliecosmetics usernames while they're not in use — they're not available for the snatching. I tried.)

The whole reason for the mother of all "hacks" is to announce a Kris Jenner collection within the Kylie Cosmetics line. All of the brand's social media accounts posted a video teasing the range, with the Instagram posts' caption reading, "Hey guys.. it’s me! and oh, my collection drops on Mother’s Day." Because of course it does.

Although nary a product can be seen in the video, the perennially leaking Instagram account @hotfire.makeup has righted that wrong with a collage of the eye shadow palette that will apparently be part of the collection. It appears to be a mix of mattes and shimmers, with shade names like I Love Myself, Vodka Tonic, Impressed, and It's An Emergency.

A second post shows the packaging for some of the products, which, according to the caption, seem to include a pressed powder and several types of lip colors.

Without a doubt, more images of the collection will be sure to surface over the next few days and we'll update you as they become available.
