Kraft Made "Salad Frosting" To Get Kids To Eat Their Veggies...And It's Just Sneakily Bottled Ranch

Kids hate veggies, amirite? (Full disclosure: I do not have children. And yet, somehow, I know this to be a universal truth.) Anyway, Kraft is aware of this kids-hate-vegetables business and created a solution: salad "frosting."

Per a press release from the company, the "frosting" is really just their "Classic Ranch Dressing disguised in a frosting tube, giving parents a hand in upping their lie game," by which they mean this new product allows parents to happily tell their children they're eating frosting on top of vegetables rather than just sadly ordering them to eat something good for them.

The beauty of this is no one doesn't like ranch on vegetables. It may not be their favorite dressing, but it sure as hell beats dry veg. And it also beats any form of healthy dressing, which Kraft absolutely has to be aware of, as they undoubtedly had a focus group of kids aged five to 15 who squirted balsamic vinaigrette out of a squeezy pouch labeled "frosting" and wept.

In fact, the company is encouraging parents to low-key lie to their kids by creating a contest for them to win some frosting. All you have to do is hop onto Twitter, tweet your best parenting lie, hashtag #LieLikeAParent and #Contest, and you may become one of 1,500 lucky people on the receiving end of some frosting from Kraft.

Otherwise, it's unclear if and when salad frosting will be available to the masses. Basically, you better get tweeting if you want some of the stuff. I think my lil' lie will be something about telling my dogs they were a good boy and girl two minutes after they last ate rolls of toilet paper or something. Have I mentioned I don't have children?
