Kourtney Kardashian's 40 Most Iconic Hair Looks Over the Years

Unlike her sisters Khloé, Kim, and Kylie, Kourtney Kardashian isn't known as a hair chameleon. She doesn't seem much into the platinum look or colorful wigs nor does she ever sport the brunette-blonde look. Instead, she keeps her long, raven-haired locks as they are, only occasionally tweaking them by adding highlights or cutting bangs.

The biggest change she made was in 2017 when she chopped her hair into a sleek, silky lob (we're not mad—it looked incredible). Even though it was a simple haircut, it was a big change for the most consistent of all the Kardashians—one that inspired us to reminisce about our favorite Kourtney Kardashian hair looks to date. Spoiler alert: There were actually many! But we managed to narrow it down to our 40 all-time favorites.

Flipped-Out Bob

We love Kourtney's super short bob, which hovers at her jawline and has lots of texture, thanks to layers that frame her face. The ends are flipped ever-so-slightly outward, adding personality to the look.

Center-Parted, Straight Bob

Here, her bob gets a bold look, thanks to blunt ends and a striking center part. The fun of a blunt cut is all in the styling, as evidenced here.

Textured Bob

Kourtney's take on the wet look style is heavy on the product, and sees most of the volume concentrated on one side of the head. To get the look, apply gel from roots through tips through damp chin-length hair, and work through with fingers or a comb.

Blown Out Lob

This classic blowout is full of volume and makes a lob look so much fuller. Be sure to start with a heat spray or primer, to protect your hair from hot tools like a blow dryer.

Begin a blowout by rough drying the hair until it's about 50% dry, then go in with a round brush to style. This will be much easier than styling from wet, as the hair will weigh less.

Sleek Ponytail

A classic ponytail gets a twist thanks to face-framing pieces of layered hair. be sure to use a gel to tame any flyaways, as this is a look that's meant to be sleek.

Textured Updo

This textured updo sees center-parted hair pulled into a messy bun, with two face-framing tendrils curled to add further interest.

Bouncy Blowout

This blowout is ultra bouncy, thanks to ends that curl inward. Mimic the look with a round brush, pointing the blow-dryer on the ends while you go so the style sets.

Textured Ponytail

This textured pony begins like any other, by pulling the hair off the face and fastening with an elastic. The difference here is that the ends are crimped and textured.

Romantic Curly Updo

This romantic, curly updo involves curling a large chunk of hair on one side of the face, and a smaller section on the other, to create a wide portion of face-framing tendrils that mimic bangs.

Center-Parted Low Bun

This bold center part is a great way to show off accessories, or a smoky eye. Draw hair into a low bun at the nape of the neck, and apply gel all over the top of the head using a comb to brush the product through.

Center-Parted Blunt Lob

Kourtney always has fun with her style as she's growing out her tresses. Here, a bold, center-parted lob is kept super straight, acting as a perfect counterpoint to a heavy brow and mauve makeup.

Blown Out Lob With Texture

A blunt lob gets a dose of casual cool with volume and waves. The addition of the waves creates the look of varying length, which is key to changing up the blunt style.

Kourtney is no stranger to the wet look, though this version differs from some of her others. Here, hair is light on volume, but incorporates a gentle wave on one side of the face.

Long With a Center Part

Long hair with a center part screams 1970s, but Kourtney's modern take is soft and not-at-all retro. A wide-barrel curling iron can add soft waves, while a shine spray will up the sheen.

Long Center-Parted Ponytail

A long ponytail with a center part is fun and energetic. For a similar look, add extensions (which will make the style more voluminous and add bold length).

Half-Up and Sleek Hair

This youthful half-up style sees two loose tendrils pulled out of the hair and framing the face. You can either wear the tendrils curly or make like Kourtney and keep them straight.

Extensions add lots of length to this evening-ready look, which sees glossy strands swept into loose waves. Use a wide-barrel curling iron for a similar look, brushing out any tight coils with the fingers.

The Kardashians have always been known for ultra-glossy hair, and we especially love the sleek look on Kourtney.

For a daytime look that's still plenty bold, try taking a cue from Kourt, and weaving hair into a nearly waist-length braid.

Kourtney's shoulder-length hair oozes class, thanks to volume throughout with straight ends. Turn to a product like Paul Mitchell Firm Style Freeze and Shine Super Spray ($20) for a shiny finish.

Kardashian stole the show at the 2016 Glamour Women of the Year Awards with a sleek center part and slicked-down strands that were tucked behind her ears. To re-create the look, Cotteblanche says to straighten the hair with a flat iron (using a heat protectant, of course!). He also shares why Kardashian's locks seem so securely pinned behind her ears: "The front is separate from the top of the ear, then is secured at the nape of the neck with a ponytail. The remainder of the hair is laid over to hide the ponytail." For extra support, he suggests using a strong gel on the top layer of hair "to ensure the ponytail stays secure."

Deep Side Part

This Kardashian sports a deep side part often enough, but this look is our favorite because it's styled with lots of volume at the root. We love the long and loose waves resting on her shoulder and feel tempted to reach for a bottle of Ouai Volume Spray ($26) to try it ourselves.

Wet, Not Wild

We're pretty sure this 'do was inspired by Kim, who often sports this chic yet beachy look. "I really love this look because it is so effortlessly chic," Cunha reflects. "When we were creating this look we were inspired by Cher and her sleek straight hair. It's such a timeless look but gives so much attitude. Some of my favorite looks are those that took less effort and are just a reflection of what we were feeling in the moment." Feathery Curtain Bangs

Remember when Kardashian wore curtain bangs? If your answer is no, this serves as a reminder. We like how she kept them looking fresh and youthful with long and loose barrel waves and golden-blonde highlights. Futuristic Ponytail

Kardashian attended the launch of her clothing collaboration with Pretty Little Thing in 2017 in a high and tight ponytail. We love how glamorous this 'do is, and that it draws the focus into her bold eye makeup. But Cotteblanche cautions that this look is pretty difficult to achieve on your own. "The best advice is to do the look with only a portion of the hair in the ponytail, as it is easier to execute," he says. "A pro tip to keep it smooth and sleek is to do in three sections, adding to the ponytail with another elastic each time rather than trying to gather it all at once."

Dutch With a Twist

We love this look because it's slightly unexpected—different from a traditional crown braid because it's a sleek two-strand rope braid, rather than a dutch braid, that's hugging the crown of her head. To get the look, part toward the middle of your head and bring the hair forward to braid into a rope braid along the hairline.

Textured Side Braid

When Kardashian stepped out with Scott Disick wearing her hair in this complex side braid, we swooned over how effortless it looked at first sight. The key to this look is a slightly messy texture. When re-creating this look, Cotteblanche suggests drying your hair without a brush "to emphasize natural movement" and using a texturizing product (see Byrdie's recommendations for every hair type here). He explains that the braid is structured in a front and back section. "The front is [the] side-parted and French [braided] section. The back is a loose fishtail braid...Mixing the two types of braids keeps it on-trend."

Tight Topknot

Kardashian has always been the queen of high and tight topknots. It's possible she helped bring them back as a trend. This topknot looked like it was braided before being wrapped in a delicate black scrunchie, like our favorite, Slip's Large Slipsilk Scrunchie ($39), which comes in a pack of three.

Loose Waves

We'll leave you with this look that Kardashian debuted on Instagram. It's something of a classic look for her—long, loose, and textured waves with lots of shine and a center part. To us, it looks like the type of wave that results from Beachwaver Co.'s Pro 1 Iron ($199).
