Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker just got engaged and it's all so romantic

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are officially, officially engaged! The couple took to socials overnight (17 October) to share the very exciting news – and effectively broke the internet while doing so.

On her Instagram, Kourtney shared a photo of the pair as they kissed on the beach, surrounded by red roses and candles. She captioned the post: "Forever @travisbarker." How romantic!?

Over on her socials, sister-in-law to be Kim Kardashian shared a video of the newly engaged couple, with the caption: "KRAVIS FOREVER." As Bruno Mars' Marry You played in the background, the pair shared a cheeky snog as Kim zoomed in on Kourtney's v sparkly engagement ring.

Travis' kids, Alabama Barker and Landon Barker, also celebrated the couple's happy news with posts on their socials. "So happy for you guys," Alabama wrote on her Instagram Story, "I love you both."

A source close to the couple told E! News that Kourtney had "no idea" the proposal was coming, as the pair had only just arrived back in LA from their trip to the East Coast for SNL. "They had just got back from NYC and decided to do a day trip to Montecito. Kourtney thought it was going to be a casual day, as they always go to Rosewood, and she was totally thrown off," the insider revealed.

According to the source, the Blink-182 drummer picked the spot as "it's one of their favourite places and they have a lot of memories there." As they reached the centre of the roses, Travis "professed his love for her [Kourtney] and thanked her for making him a better person."

The insider added: "It was super emotional and sentimental. Kourtney was so happy and was definitely emotional. She teared up and couldn't stop saying, 'I love you'."

Rumours that the musician and reality TV star were dating started doing the rounds in 2019, but it wasn't until earlier this year that the couple went Instagram official with their relationship. Since then, they certainly haven't been afraid of a little (read: a lot) of PDA, and it looks like now they have a lifetime of that to look forward to!
