Kourtney Kardashian is currently getting her life with boyfriend Younes Bendjima, an Algerian model who's 24 years old. But even though this isn't a big deal—Kourtney and Younes are both consenting adults—their age difference (about 14 years) has put their romance at the center of pop culture. People are obsessed with them, in a way they aren't when an older man dates a younger woman. It's a double standard, plain and simple.
It's also caused Kardashian to get into a fight with her ex, Scott Disick. In a new teaser from Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kourtney tells Khloé that Scott called her at 2 A.M., and they started yelling about her relationship with Bendjima.
"[Scott] never calls me late at night, ever," Kourtney said. "He was just ranting, like, 'What are we doing in life? What are you doing? What am I doing?' And I'll go, 'But what are you doing?' And then he'll say, 'But what are you doing? Is it any better? What are you doing?' By the end of the conversation, I was just like, 'I have a boyfriend, and he's 24 years old! It's not the craziest thing that's ever happened in the world!' And so he was like, 'He's your boyfriend?' And then he hung up the phone."

Do you smell that? It's hypocrisy, because Scott is reportedly seeing Sofia Richie, who is 19 years old. (Disick is 34 years old, which makes him 15 years older than Richie.) It's ridiculous Scott would give Kourtney such a hard time for dating someone 14 years her junior when he's literally doing the same thing—and has actually been linked to younger women several times before. Get out of here with your archaic anger, Scott! Kourtney has no patience for it; she's too busy having a blast with her new, hot, and, yes, younger boyfriend. So what?
