Kourtney Kardashian, 44, is now seven weeks postpartum after welcoming baby Rocky Thirteen Barker in November. And she's sharing details of her first postpartum workout in a new BTS video on Instagram.

Kourtney just dropped a black-and-white clip of her legs as she walks on the treadmill to her Instagram story. "First day in the gym doing 30 minutes walking 3.0 12.0 incline taking it easy, no rush no pressure mamas, your body is healing, it's not a race☺️," she wrote.

The treadmill workout that Kourtney is doing is the 12-3-30 workout, a.k.a., the hot girl walk. To do it, you set your treadmill to an incline of 12 and the speed to three miles per hour, then you walk for 30 minutes. It's a pretty popular workout originally created by social media star Lauren Giraldo.

While walking on a treadmill may not seem too daunting, make no mistake—this sweat-inducing workout targets the full body. It's a form of resistance training that builds strength in your glutes, hamstrings, back, and core muscles while improving your overall cardio endurance, per Women's Health.

It's not the easiest workout to conquer, especially if you're getting back into the gym. But "if you're consistent, over time the body will adjust to the quicker speed and the heart rate will be more comfortable as the body has adapted to a 'new normal' working capacity," April Gatlin, CPT, a certified personal trainer and coach for STRIDE Fitness told WH in 2023.
