From being the first gluten-free Kardashian sister to building a wellness empire, Kourtney Kardashian Barker is no stranger to health and nutrition, and is well-known for her decades-long passion for it.

You probably already saw this on Instagram, but Kardashian Barker just launched Lemme, a vitamin and supplement brand, available today. Lemme's first offerings include three types of gummy supplements: the energy-boosting Lemme Matcha, strawberry-flavored Lemme Focus, and stress-relieving Lemme Chill.

"There's a list of nonnegotiable ingredients that can never be added to our gummies, like corn syrup and artificial coloring," the entrepreneur and reality show star tells BAZAAR.com. "All of the supplements are vegan, and we're looking to develop a lot more."

In addition to corn syrup and synthetic coloring, Lemme is also made without common gummy components, like gelatin, glucose syrup, and sugar alcohols. "Kourtney has spent years working with a team of top scientists and specialists to create innovative formulations leveraging clinically researched nutrients, vitamins, and botanicals," board-certified physician Thaïs Aliabadi says in a statement. "She prioritized ingredients that were bioavailable and filled nutritional gaps in people's diets."

Each of the supplement bottles—designed by the star and inspired by her love of vintage candy jars—are also eco-friendly and made completely without the use of virgin plastic.

Ahead of Lemme's official launch, BAZAAR.com catches up with Kardashian Barker for a breakdown on the brand's creation, plus some of her wellness go-tos right now—including a certain cleanse as seen on The Kardashians.

How did you come up with the name Lemme?

My team and I were going over names on a Zoom call, and I don't think I realized how often I use the word lemme in sentences. Like, "Lemme look into this and get back to you," or, "Lemme check." So my team and I thought it would be perfect, because we can use it for every product.

Why did you decide to launch this brand on its own and not under Poosh?

I did think about that initially, but I just ultimately felt like they were two different things. They definitely tie together really well though.

What are some of the main ingredients found in the gummies?

All of the ingredients in our gummies are things I've been taking for years. We have matcha in our Lemme Matcha gummies, which gives you sustained energy so you're not jittery, and in Lemme Focus—which I feel like I need right this second—there's lion's mane. And in Lemme Chill, we use ashwagandha, which helps manage stress.

Could you briefly describe some of the clinical testing that went into producing the products?

I'm big on muscle testing and knowing the right ingredients for your body. For Lemme, we work with scientists and doctors, some who I've had personal relationships with over the years, to really get the best quality supplement.

Did Travis help with brainstorming around the brand at all?

I love his opinion, especially when it comes to the brand name, packaging, and font. He also helped to test the gummies—we basically had everyone who's around me all the time trying them out. Getting the consistency and taste of the supplements right was really important to me, as was picking the right flavors we felt matched up to what the gummy's purpose is.

Why was it important for you to partner with nonprofit organizations like Carbonfund.org and One Tree Planted when launching Lemme?

One of the first things I said when starting a brand was that the sustainability aspect of it was really important to me, which is why our packaging is made from 100 percent post-consumer materials. We're taking the extra steps to do what we can [to help the environment, which includes working with companies to offset our carbon footprint.]

We know that you're always one step ahead of wellness trends. Is there anything in particular you're excited about right now?

I've been into microcurrents lately for their healing purposes—my knee can hurt from time to time—so with injuries, it's something new I've been trying. I know it's not a new trend, but it's something new that I'm doing.

And again, it's not new—this is thousands of years old—but I love doing a panchakarma cleanse seasonally. Now that it's fall, I'm about to do another one; it's life-changing. You do a pre-cleanse—no sex, alcohol, or caffeine—and you have to eat a really strict diet, no processed foods. And then, you go into a location for four hours a day and do these treatments to help your body detox. It's so amazing, we filmed it on the show; this will be my third one.
