Kosas' Newest SPF Will Give You a "Just Got Back From Vacation" Glow

When you imagine your ideal sunscreen product, what do you think of? For me, it's something with, first and foremost, great coverage. It doesn't have that chemical smell and it provides enough of a glow on its own that it doesn't even matter if you're holed up at home and not on a skin-to-sun basis with the outdoors (we should be wearing SPF all the time, even when working from home).

Basically, I've been dreaming of DreamBeam Sunlit ($40).

If you haven't heard of Kosas' latest SPF creation, don't worry—you're not too far behind. Released March 27, the mineral-based sunscreen is a new take on the original DreamBeam that features a soft golden glow alongside the same coverage you know, love, and ultimately need.

The Inspiration

When crafting the original DreamBeam, Kosas founder and then-SPF-wary (the formulas she found broke her out, clogged her pores, or didn't look good under makeup) Sheena Zadeh wanted to create a product filled with all the ingredients she loved. The ultimate goal? Improving her skin with every wear.

"She also wanted it to actually enhance her makeup and have a silky sensorial application experience so you’d look forward to putting it on each day," shares the brand. For Sunlit, the goal was that same great formula plus a vacation glow.

While the original formula's peachy-pink hue helped neutralize the blue-white shade of zinc oxide (the SPF active present here), Sunlit does all that and then some, adding a soft, golden, bronzy hue.

Like its non-glowy-but-still-lovely little sister, DreamBeam Sunlit has plenty of merits. Packed with ceramides and peptides to nourish your skin and made with SPF 40 PA++++, DreamBeam Sunlit features 21.7% non-nano zinc oxide. It's also safe for sensitive skin, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, silicone-free, and fragrance-free.

"Its lightweight, comfortable formula effortlessly blends into the skin, making it an essential component of your daily skincare routine," shares the brand. What's more? In a 28-day consumer study, it was clinically proven to increase skin's moisture by 144%, elasticity by 17%, firmness by 21%, clarity by 70%, and quality by 65%.
