Kona Issues Recall Reminder for 2014 WO Fat Bike

Kona Bicycles has issued a reminder about a recall involving its WO fat bike. Originally issued in November 2014, the recall pertains to the Project Two Fat Disc Fork and affects about 530 bikes. Kona’s press release warns that the forks can, “crack or break at the fork crown/steer column interface, causing a fall hazard to consumers.” A single incident of a steerer tube breaking with no injury is reported.

Owners of the 2014 WO are instructed to immediately stop riding the bike and contact their local Kona dealer about a replacement fork.
