Russell Brand's wife is probably having a less than great week.
The comedian, actor and podcaster was accused of sexual assault by four different women, including one who said she had a sexual relationship with the star when she was 16 and he was 31.
Brand vehemently denied all the allegations, chalking them up to his merely being in a promiscuous phase and that all of his sexual encounters had consent. He also said that he believed The Sunday Times and a Channel 4 Dispatches report were representative of the entire mainstream media working against him.
Brand's wife of six years, Laura Gallacher, hasn't commented on the allegations against Brand and deactivated her Instagram account after the bombshell reports first came to light.

Is Russell Brand still married to Laura Gallacher?
So far, yes. Brand and Gallacher married in 2017 after dating for about two years. The pair had actually dated briefly in 2007 when Gallacher was 19 and Brand was 30, but their relationship at the time was short-lived because Brand didn't want to commit.
They reconnected by chance in 2015, Gallacher told Grazia magazine.
"My ex had literally moved out of our flat that day and I was heartbroken, with mascara running down my face," she recalled. "A friend dragged me out on a walk to the canal in east London, where I'd never been in my life, and as we came on to the footpath Russell was standing there, like he'd organized it."
Their relationship grew serious after Brand told Gallacher he wanted to settle down and have a family.

Brand and Gallacher are still together. As for why he divorced Perry, she's been vague about it to a degree, but explicit in certain regards.
"I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can't necessarily disclose because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day," the "Teenage Dream" singer told Vogue in 2013. "I let go and I was like: 'This isn't because of me; this is beyond me.'"

Perry said that Brand would make fun of her in his standup sets when he didn't know she was in the audience to surprise him and that she barely saw him when she was on her California Dreams tour.
"I mean, I have to claim my own responsibility in things. I do admit that I was on the road a lot. Although I invited him time and time again, and I tried to come home as much as I possibly could. You saw that in the movie," she said, referring to the documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me. "That wasn't edited to leave footage out—there wasn't any footage of him."

Brand hasn't spoken about his divorce from Perry except to compliment her, but she told Vogue that he likely wanted a woman who was more subservient than she was.
"At first when I met him he wanted an equal, and I think a lot of times strong men do want an equal, but then they get that equal and they're like, 'I can't handle the equalness" she said. "He didn't like the atmosphere of me being the boss on tour. So that was really hurtful, and it was very controlling, which was upsetting."
