Here's Everything You Need to Know About New Bachelor Joey Graziadei!

Joey Graziadei might not have won Charity Lawson's final rose on The Bachelorette, but he did get a fresh new haircut *and* was officially named ABC's next Bachelor star! This means we have several more months with this man, so buckle up, stalk his socials, etc.

Here’s everything we know about Joey before his season drops in January—and we'll go ahead and add some Bachelor spoilers to this list once they drop, too...

Joey Lives in Hawaii

Obviously, everyone who watched The Bachelorette knows this, but we just wanted an excuse to share these photos:

He Teaches Tennis (Immediately Hot)

Joey moved to Hawaii for a job teaching tennis, which has taught him to be “very compassionate” and “very patient.”

Would hire him as my instructor.

Joey Is Super Close to His Family

He explained on The Bachelorette, “My parents split when I was pretty young. I wouldn’t say it was easy. But my family is just an extremely loving family. And both my parents were amazing co-parents, so the fact that that didn’t work out doesn’t take away from romance for me.”

Joey also opened up to Charity about his dad coming out, and went on to tell the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast: “I had to think through when I wanted to bring up my parents’ divorce and my dad coming out. It’s serious and it’s important. I had a conversation with my dad before going on the show and I wanted to make sure he was okay with me sharing his story. It’s something that’s affected me, but it’s really his life. I had that conversation with him, and he was comfortable and trusted me on how I would talk about it and it would be shared in the right light.”

He added, “You never know on this show if you get your moment to share something personal. It was a mix of feeling so comfortable with Charity to talk to her about it and also not knowing when I would get another time like that to have the uninterrupted moment to share it correctly. It was something that is really important to me, and I wanted to make sure it wasn’t the kind of thing I’d be talking about and then a guy would come interrupt after not getting a chance to share too much.”

"My dad is one of my favorite people in this world and I talk to him about everything," Joey said. "So when explaining who he is as a person, it’s part of him and it’s something that needs to be talked about more and not so refrained from or worried to talk about. It just felt like the right moment at that time.”

He’s a Hopeless Romantic

Naturally, ABC’s bio writer wasted no time creating a tennis metaphor for Joey’s feelings on romance, musing, “‘Love’ may mean nothing in tennis, but to Joey, it’s everything!”

They also noted that Joey is “outgoing, friendly, and loyal” and is “looking for a partner who can share in his love for adventure."

He's Ready to Find Love Again Post-Bachelorette

Joey told Jesse Palmer "I'm more ready than I was in that moment. For me, it was just, you have to take some time to get a little bit more closure. Watching Dotun and Charity's connection was enough for me."

He also chatted about what he's looking for on The Bachelor, saying he's hoping to find "Someone that’s just themselves that I can truthfully be a partner with. I want someone that challenges me. I want someone that I can challenge. I just want someone to do life with. I just want someone that's going to be my person."

He's Afraid of Rejection After Charity's Season of The Bachelorette

In a teaser trailer for his upcoming season of The Bachelor, Joey got vulnerable on camera as he spoke about not wanting to face rejection. "With Charity, I tried to get down on one knee, and I was stopped," Joey said with tears in his eyes. "So my biggest fear is the one walking out. I'm afraid of someone not accepting me for me."
