Co-founder, Freedom March NYC
Age: 24
Hometown: Brooklyn, New York

Chelsea Miller co-founded Freedom March NYC with Nialah Edari in the wake of George Floyd’s death last summer, and it has since led some of the largest non-violent protests and demonstrations in New York City. In addition to leading non-violent protests, the organization is focused on pushing for policy change and mobilizing voters through its offshoot initiative Freedom Fall. Freedom March NYC’s scope reaches far beyond the tri-state area, however, as it also provides trainings and resources to organizers around the United States to help them learn how to organize in their own communities. The City & State of New York named Miller one of the 50 most influential people in Brooklyn last year, and she’s also been recognized in Vogue, Rolling Stone, CNN and more.
