*Major spoilers for Emily in Paris below!*

Season three of Emily in Paris hit Netflix just in time for a holiday marathon with your fam, and with everything that went down in the finale, there’s *so* much to look forward to in season four. The lighthearted comedy created by Darren Star follows Emily, a marketing executive who makes an unexpected move from Chicago to the City of Lights when her boss is on maternity leave. While in Paris, she moves up in her career and finds herself in a love triangle with her neighbor and gourmet chef, Gabriel, and her British classmate, Alfie. She makes new friends and goes through hurdles along the way, which makes for the ultimate binge-worthy watch.

With season four on the horizon, there’s so much more we can expect from Emily and the rest of the Parisian crew. So without further ado, here’s everything we know about Emily in Paris season four (so far).

Is Emily in Paris season 4 happening?

Oui oui! Right after the season two finale in January 2022, Netflix posted a photo of leading lady Lily Collins with an announcement that two more seasons of Emily in Paris were green-lit by the streamer. So, we knew a fourth season was coming even before season 3 even dropped.

Has Emily in Paris season 4 begun filming?

Sad news, EIP fans. Season four of the hit series was slated to begin filming in late summer or early fall, but it appears as though it’ll be a little bit longer before Emily and co. head back to the City of Lights. Variety reports that filming has been delayed by two months due to the ongoing Writer’s Guild of America strike. According to the media outlet, the delay could last longer depending on if and when the strike ends.

Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, better known as Sylvie on the hit series, previously hinted that the upcoming season could be affected by the strike during a chat with Variety on the red carpet of Kering’s Women in Motion gala dinner during the Cannes Film Festival. When asked if season 4 would be delayed, she said, “A little bit. We’re waiting for it to be resolved. We’ll see how it settles!”

When does Emily in Paris season 4 premiere?

While we’re still reeling from all of the cliffhangers in the season 3 finale, there’s no word yet on when season 4 debuts. Given the production delay, we probably won’t see the next chapter until late 2023 or early 2024. But you already know we’ll be on the lookout for more details, so be sure to check back here for any and all updates.

What will season 4 be about?

Whew, what won’t season 4 of Emily in Paris be about? Season 3 ended on cliffhangers that, tbh, left our heads spinning. One thing's for sure, though, Emily will be on the move in the new season. The marketing wiz and fashionista is taking her talents to Italy. Lily Collins appeared in a teaser during Tudum in Brazil, where she teased that we shouldn't be surprised to see Emily on a "Roman holiday" in the upcoming season.

During their engagement party in Champagne, Camille and Gabriel decide on a whim to get married that night — but while standing at the altar, Cami calls off the wedding because she thinks Gabriel still has feelings for Emily. Alfie, left humiliated by Cami’s revelation, seemingly breaks up with Emily on the spot, saying that he never felt like “her man.”

But wait! That’s not all! In the final minutes of the finale, Emily and Gabriel basically profess their love to each other... then Gabriel reveals that Cami is pregnant.

According to our leading lady Lily Collins, there is lots more to come. “I just know, obviously, the many cliffhangers, and there's multiple ways in which it could go,” she told Entertainment Tonight on April 17. “I just know that there's gonna be obviously more drama, more laughs and more fashion and more travel.”

As for future seasons? Although nothing has been confirmed, Lily hopes Emily in Paris can continue for multiple iterations. “I can totally see it going on and on and on, but I think we have to leave it to people and fans to watch it and love it and hope that we can get to do more,” she said. “So, everyone, please love it.” Consider it done.

Netflix has yet to confirm who will return for season 4, but given the show revolves around her life in the City of Love, Lily Collins will definitely reprise her role as our fave PR girlie, Emily Cooper. We can also hold out hope that Mindy (Ashley Park), Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Julien (Samuel Arnold), Luc (Bruno Gouery), and Camille (Camille Razat) will return as well, and depending on which path her heart takes, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), too.

What does Lucien think? In an interview with E! News in December 2022, the actor shared his insight on Alfie’s future in the City of Love. Since he (spoiler alert!) breaks up with Emily in the season finale, Lucien thinks our leading lady “might have to pull something out of the bag to get the main man back.”

“Season 2 Alfie had this little cloud over his head,” he continued. “He was hating on life. Season 3 he gets his vulnerable side,” and season 4 could depict Alfie’s quest for “revenge” and an exploration of his “sick, twisted side.”

“It would be great to come back,” Lucien said. “But honestly I think I’ve had a really, really incredible two seasons on this show. It’s been really special.” Fingers crossed we see our British lead return.

Meanwhile, Lucas, who’s portrayed lovestruck Chef Gabriel for three seasons, teased his character’s more grown-up and career-focused role in season 4. “I know that Gabriel in season four is aiming for the Michelin star. He’s maturing a lot,” the actor told PEOPLE on June 8. “He’s not going to be so much involved into relationship dramas. I think he wants to aim for something very mature and stable.”

Considering the season 3 finale’s *major* truth bomb (Cami and Gabriel are expecting a child!), Lucas muses that his character will need to “own up to his mistake because for the last season he’s been more of a victim than owning [it],” he added in his conversation with PEOPLE. “I think it’s going to be coming of age for him in season four, which is nice to play.”
