‘The Bachelorette’ Is No Longer Filming in Canada Next Season

From Cosmopolitan

Update 2/2:

Reality Steve came through with more intel today about The Bachelorette, and it sounds like that whole Canada plan isn’t a thing anymore.

“Due to the updated quarantine restrictions in Canada laid out last week, I’ve been told ‘Bachelorette’ will NOT be filming there next season anymore,” he tweeted. “Resorts in the U.S. now being looked at, but they are definitely still looking at colder weather locations.”

Original story, 1/27:

This update comes courtesy of Reality Steve, who reports that next season of The Bachelorette will be filming in Canada! Production is set to begin in March, and “cast and crew, once they arrive in Canada, will quarantine and test for two weeks before production begins.”

Steve also says “early speculation” indicates the resort in question is Fairmont Jasper Lodge in Alberta, Canada.

The lodge consists of “a village of heritage log cabins connected by picturesque paths,” which sounds pretty perfect for The Bachelorette’s filming location. Oh, and on top of that, there’s this dog:

Obviously, we won’t find out who the next Bachelorette is until the end of Matt James’s season, but Kelley Flanagan recently said she’d be down, so!
