Kitty Spencer, Princess Diana's Niece, Is Reportedly Engaged

Lady Kitty Spencer, Princess Diana's niece, could be giving royal fans an almost-royal wedding. It's about time, since the last royal wedding, Princess Eugenie's, was way back in 2018, and her sister's upcoming nuptials are still up in the air thanks to Prince Andrew's association with the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. According to the Daily Mail, Spencer got engaged to her beau, Michael Lewis, over the Christmas holiday, though she hasn't confirmed the news herself.

Tatler notes that Spencer was seen with what could have been an engagement ring at London's Cash & Rocket Masquerade Ball.

"Michael proposed to Kitty before Christmas. She's been in Cape Town for the holidays and told her mother and the rest of the family," a source told the Daily Mail. "Michael is loved by all of them. Despite his wealth, he's very humble and low key."

Lewis is South Africa and is 61 years old. According to Vogue Australia, he's also the chairperson of Foschini, a fashion brand, and is worth more than $150 million. He has three adult children and is divorced. Spencer and Michael made their public debut last May when they were seen together in New York City and they were later seen kissing in Saint-Tropez.

Spencer's father, Charles, is the 9th Earl Spencer a.k.a. the Viscount Althorp, and works as a journalist and broadcaster in addition to being uncle to Princes Harry and William. As for Kitty, she's a model and the brand ambassador for Italian jeweler Bvlgari. After her parents' divorce in 1997, she split her time between London and South Africa. Tatler adds that if there is a royal wedding in the works, Viscountess Weymouth and Sabrina Elba are expected to attend along with Kitty's cousins William and Harry.
