This is an easy and fresh dip that is quick to mix together. It goes perfectly with loaded nachos, tacos, a large plate of chopped fresh veggies, or even just a bowl of tortilla chips.

Serves 4

  • 3 ripe avocados

  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) freshly squeezed lime juice (about 2 limes)

  • ½ small red onion, finely diced

  • 2 Roma tomatoes, finely diced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) taco seasoning

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) ground cumin (optional) ½ tsp (2.5 mL) sea salt

  • Handful of cilantro leaves, chopped up a bit

Quarter the avocados and remove the seeds. Scoop the avocado flesh into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Use a fork to mash it up and then mix the lime juice in.

Add the onions and tomatoes to the avocado and mix to combine. Add the garlic, taco seasoning, cumin, salt, and cilantro. Give it all a good stir to mix together and it’s ready to serve. Guacamole will keep for 3 days in the fridge in an airtight container.
