Kit Kat Is Releasing Its Sweetest New Flavor Yet—and It’s a Permanent Addition

If there’s one thing that will always put a smile on our faces, it’s when our favorite brands launch a new product. Because, sure, a regular Kit Kat bar is delicious any day of the week, but sometimes you just want to change it up with a new flavor.

Despite the fact that Kit Kat releases fun, limited-edition flavors like Churro and Fruity Cereal pretty frequently, it doesn’t roll out too many new, permanent flavors for fans to enjoy all year round. So, if you’ve ever been personally victimized by a limited-edition flavor’s too-limited run, we have some good news for you: Kit Kat is introducing a new flavor—and it’s here to stay.

The New Kit Kat Chocolate Frosted Donut Flavor

This month, Kit Kat is rolling out its Chocolate Frosted Donut flavor—the first new permanent flavor since January 2022. The candy bar looks and tastes like a frosted chocolate doughnut with a layer of doughnut-flavored creme topped with milk chocolate—and, of course, it wouldn’t be a Kit Kat without the crunchy wafers in the center.

Kit Kat’s newest flavor will start rolling out at retailers nationwide on Nov. 17, where it will be available in both standard and king sizes. You won’t find it in the snack size yet, but we expect it’s only a matter of time before we see more sizes on shelves.

“We know fans love our bakery inspired flavors like KIT KAT Birthday Cake—and we thought, ‘who doesn’t love a classic chocolate frosted donut,’” said Alex Kuzior, Kit Kat’s Associate Manager. “The KIT KAT Chocolate Frosted Donut Flavored Bar is a sweet addition to our permanent flavor portfolio and every bite delivers upon a delightful experience, reminiscent of a freshly baked donut from your favorite hometown bakery.”

Kit Kat’s new chocolate-coated fresh doughnut flavor joins the permanent lineup with the likes of Kit Kat Birthday Cake, Kit Kat Duos Mint & Dark Chocolate, Kit Kat Thins Chocolate Hazelnut, Kit Kat Big Kat, and (obviously) the OG Kit Kat.

As it’s arriving close to the holiday season, we imagine we’ll find the Kit Kat Chocolate Frosted Donut candy in many stockings and adorning your grandma’s vintage holiday candy bowls. We could all use a little Kit Kat break during the busy holiday season, don’t you think?

You’ll find the new Kit Kat at all major retailers—we’d suggest looking for a new candy endcap (likely next to the new Reese’s flavor); otherwise, you might get lost in all the other holiday candy. But, would that really be the worst thing?
