Kit Harington’s Wife Is Pregnant With Their Second Child

The actor announced that the couple is expecting during Friday's episode of 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.'

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are expecting another baby!

While chatting with Jimmy Fallon last night, the Game of Thrones alum, 36, revealed that his wife of almost five years is pregnant with the couple's second baby.

Harington broke the exciting news by telling The Tonight Show host that his two-year-old son is "about to get the shock of his life."

"Which is that he's about to get a brother or sister," Harington explained before he and Fallon shared a congratulatory handshake.

"I'm terrified," the actor added. "You know, with the first baby you're like walking on clouds and dancing through fields of daisies for nine months — well, the man is anyway. But this time, the reality check comes much shorter. You get practical real quick."

Harington said that both him and his wife, 35, are not only preparing themselves for the so-called "reality check," but also their eldest son, who hasn't "quite conceptually understood it just yet."

"We're trying to get him ready for it," he continued. "We point to Rose's tummy and we say, 'Mommy's baby, mommy's baby.' And he points to his tummy and goes, 'My baby.' I'm quite sure that's — yeah, you'll know soon enough."

Harington and Leslie welcomed their first baby in 2021, about three years after the couple first said "I do."

The actor went on to tell Fallon, 48, that his son is "quite smart" as far as toddlers go.

"It's surprising, seeing as we're both actors," he said, referring to both him and his wife's careers. "We're like, we're not sure quite where that's come from ... He likes applause. Every time he does something good, we give him applause, and we're worrying that's kind of pushing him towards acting. We're a bit like, 'Eh, you might be too smart for this. Go save the world, we're sick, we had no choice.'"

Harington and Leslie met during the second season of GoT when the couple portrayed on-screen lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte. And while their character's relationship may not have stood the test of time, the real-life lovers behind them are still going strong years later.
