The Kissing Booth 2: Joey King Just Shared the Full Dance Sequence

The Kissing Booth 2 has only been out for about a week, but hardcore fans have probably already memorized that epic Dance Dance Mania choreography.

For those who are already planning their TikToks: Hold up, there’s more! Joey King just shared the full two-and-a-half-minute extended sequence—which was actually shot in front of a green screen—and it might not be so easy to nail.

To recap, in the sequel to the beloved Netflix rom-com, King’s character, Elle, has a lot going on between secretly applying to Harvard and trying to manage her relationship with Noah (Jacob Elordi). Still, she finds time to hang out with a new transfer kid named Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez), who is a fan of the same dance arcade games she’s obsessed with, and the two of them eventually enter a DDM competition.

In her video posted on August 1, King explained that they spent a full day shooting the scene in question. “This is the full version that we shot of the final arcade scene with Marco and Elle,” she wrote in the caption. “We danced the entire day which was killer on my shin splints but my dance partner made it all worth it. This was a really exhausting day but more fun than anything else. I miss this a lot.”

They performed it pretty perfectly and then got a lot of help from the editing department to make it as big a scene as it is in the film. King even shared a few videos on her Instagram before The Kissing Booth 2’s premiere, showing how hard she was working on the dance parts of the film.

We’ll have to see if members of the cast revisit their skills for the next iteration of the film. Netflix recently announced that The Kissing Booth 3 has already been filmed and is scheduled to drop in 2021.
