Actress Kirsten Dunst’s former downtown penthouse has hit the market for $6.95 million.

The “Civil War” star sold this eighth-floor home at 477 Washington St. — also known as 533 Canal, on the edge of Soho — in 2018 to the sellers for $4.4 million. Dunst herself bought it for $3 million in 2007.

The current “Marie Claire” cover star has come a long way from child actor in “Interview with the Vampire” and “Jumanji,” to starring in films like “The Virgin Suicides,” “Marie Antoinette,” “Hidden Figures” and Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” trilogy.

In the recent Marie Claire issue, Dunst — now a 41-year-old mother of two and married to her “Fargo” co-star, actor Jesse Plemons — talks about why she gravitates towards female directors like Sofia Coppola, and why she disliked her “Spider-Man” on-set nickname “girly-girl.”

The-gut renovated apartment comes with two bedrooms, two full baths and Hudson River views. A private elevator landing opens to a large living room with a wall of large, arched windows. There’s also an open, windowed chef’s kitchen and a main bedroom with a “Narnia-style wardrobe” that leads to a large, windowed, custom walk-in closet, according to the listing. A second bedroom is currently set up as a library-slash-den with a Murphy bed, custom built-ins, and brass-and-glass sliding doors.

Design details include exposed brick walls, wide-plank custom wood floors and 11-foot-tall ceilings. Maintenance is $675 a month.

The building has been a big draw for creatives over the years, including R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe, director Gus Van Sant and Oscar-winning former brothers-in-law Casey Affleck and Joaquin Phoenix.

In 2020, Affleck and Phoenix sold their “crash pad” duplex in the building for $3.13 million. The close friends — who became family when Affleck married Phoenix’s sister, Summer, though they have since divorced — first listed the apartment in 2017 for $3.89 million.

In the late 1970s, the building, which dates to 1911, was also home to the Canal Zone Party, which drew artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat.
