The new year is in full swing, and with it, so are our resolutions to train harder, run faster, and go further distances than we ever have. And with a new year of training comes quite a bit of soreness. If you’ve heard the hype about how percussion therapy can relieve some of your post-run pain, then you’ll be happy to know that Theragun percussion massagers are currently on sale for up to 34% off on Amazon.

Massage guns are arguably more effective than they used to be because of technology like percussion massagers, which push into the skin rather than attempting to emulate the hands of a real-life masseuse. Of the five Theragun models available on Amazon, the Theragun Pro, Elite, and Prime models are currently on sale with varying discounts. All three were released in 2020 as the fourth generation (Therabody only just released the fifth generation last fall), and while they have some similarities, they each carry different features—and different price tags.

The Theragun Pro has the most top-of-the-line features of the three models, housing six attachments, an extensive battery life, an OLED screen with a force meter, customizable speeds, and QuietForce Technology, which Therabody claims makes the percussive massager silent (though a few reviewers did find it to be noisy). Listed at almost $600, the Pro is currently just under $400.

<p>Theragun Elite 4th Generation</p><p>amazon.com</p><p>$298.00</p><p><a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086Z6XSW4?tag=syn-yahoo-20&ascsubtag=%5Bartid%7C2143.a.42410664%5Bsrc%7Cyahoo-us" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" data-ylk="slk:Shop Now;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas" class="link ">Shop Now</a></p><span class="copyright">amazon.com</span>

The Theragun Elite is slightly cheaper, coming in around $400 typically, discounted to $300. Like the Pro, the Elite also has an OLED screen with a force meter, QuietForce Technology, and a customizable speed range. However, this model comes with only five attachments and two hours of battery life. It’s also worth noting that the Elite won a spot on our 2020 Gear Awards for Best Recovery Tool.

<p>Theragun Prime 4th Generation </p><p>amazon.com</p><p>$198.00</p><p><a href="https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086Z6V3S6?tag=syn-yahoo-20&ascsubtag=%5Bartid%7C2143.a.42410664%5Bsrc%7Cyahoo-us" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" data-ylk="slk:Shop Now;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas" class="link ">Shop Now</a></p><span class="copyright">amazon.com</span>

And last, the Theragun Prime is the most affordable of the three models currently on sale. It's usually about $300, but right now it’s right around $200. The Prime shares some of the same features as the Pro and the Elite, like QuietForce Technology, customizable speeds, and a force meter. The Prime, though, has four attachments, two hours of battery life, and an LED speed monitor in place of the OLED screen.

All three can be managed through the Therabody app, which allows you to choose your speed and pressure.

If you haven’t tried a percussive massager before, you can expect it to help relieve soreness by increasing blood flow and promoting lymphatic drainage. And with Theragun’s discount on three great models, you will be well on your way to kicking post-workout pain and bettering your performance.
