Best family-friendly option: The Living Desert

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is giving mothers several perks this Sunday.

According to a post on the zoo's Instagram, all guests (including mom of course) can ride the zoo's Endangered Species Carousel for free (with park admission) from 9 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

The first 400 mothers who enter the grounds will also be given complementary white sage plants, which are native to the Southwest. Purchase tickets at livingdesert.org/visit/buy-tickets.

King's Highway at the Ace Hotel Palm Springs is hosting a "Queen of the Desert" brunch that can be enjoyed two different ways this Mother's Day.
