Doug and Carrie Heffernan, together again 16 years later.

While The King of Queens ended in 2007, there are still plenty of fans of the classic comedy series, and the show's two stars, Leah Remini and Kevin James, just gifted loyal fans a sweet photo of the two longtime friends reuniting.

Remini shared a photo of herself with her arm around James, their cheeks touching as they smile at the camera.

The actress added the meaningful caption, "Few things bring me as much joy as reuniting with one of my favorite people on this earth @kevinjamesofficial."

She further wrote, "Got to see him live last night!" The actor and comedian is currently traveling around the United States on The Irregardless Tour. Most recently, he stopped in Rancho Mirage, California, on April 1, and Temecula, California, on April 2.

It's safe to say that The King of Queens fans were ecstatic to see the two actors together again.

"OMG Y'ALL NEED TO BRING THE KING OF QUEENS PLEASE LEAH AND KEVIN...I MISS DOUG AND CARRIE SO MUCH, IT'S MY FAVORITE SHOW EVER ILYSM!!!😭😭❤️," said one excited fan.

Another responded, "I loved King of queens! I wish you guys would do a reboot! Doug and Carrie, Doug, and Carrie! 2023!"

Many more said the same thing, with one person even suggesting the two do a comedy tour together.

"Love you both. I still watch your show every day!!!! Best show hands down ever made," read a comment. The TV series, which originally ran from 1998 to 2007, is currently available to stream on Peacock.

The King of Queens follows Remini and James as Carrie and Doug Heffernan, respectively, as they go about their daily lives living in Queens with Carrie's father, Arthur Spooner, played by the late Jerry Stiller.

Remini and James previously reunited on screen for the sitcom Kevin Can Wait, which aired from 2016 to 2018, but fans of their original show are keeping their fingers crossed that they'll do a reboot one day.

As of right now, there has been no word on a reboot or revival ever being in development.
