King’s Dominion announces details for Soak City 2024 summer season

DOSWELL, Va. (WFXR)– Kings Dominion announced details regarding the opening of Soak City Waterpark for the 2024 season, which will open on May 25.

The 20-acre park features great ways to cool off during the summer heat, including an enormous wave pool, interactive splash pads, extreme water slides, and Coconut Shores, a 45-foot multi-level play structure and mini-wave pool designed for the younger parkgoers.

Cabana rentals are returning this year as well, and guests are encouraged to book ahead of their visit to secure one. Cabanas include a private shaded area with chairs, patio tables, and chaise lounge chairs for guests to enjoy.

5th annual Flower and Food Festival returns to Dollywood

Season Pass holders will also be able to enter the park 15 minutes early, allowing pass holders to grab spots at Coconut Shores or Tidal Wave Bay ahead of the busiest hours of the day and be first in line for water attractions that open at noon.

The water park is open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. as follows:

  • May 25 to 27 and June 1 to 2

  • Open for daily operation from June 8 to August 11

  • Aug. 17 to 18, 24 to 25, 31 to Sept. 2.

Soak City reminds guests that the chaperone policy remains in effect throughout the entirety of the summer. Guests 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted into the park.
