No longer working royals, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be living their life in California these days, but King Charles III is making sure their presence remains at Buckingham Palace.

This week, the new sovereign took his first weekly audience with Prime Minister Liz Truss at the palace. In a short video released on Twitter of their greeting, viewers can see several photos of the family displayed around the meeting room. Among them, is a photo from Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's wedding.

The image was taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski at Windsor Castle following the Sussexes's wedding ceremony at St. George's Chapel on May 19, 2018. It shows Harry and Meghan surrounded by members of their family and bridal party—including the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The now King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Kate are also in the photo, as are Kate and William's children, boys and girls from Harry and Meghan's bridal party, and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland.

Readers may recall that in a touching moment during the ceremony, Charles walked Meghan down the aisle to Harry, as her own father, Thomas Markle, did not attend the ceremony.

Two years after the beautiful royal wedding, Meghan and Harry made the decision to step down from their roles as senior members of the royal family, and moved to California to start their new life. The move came shortly after Meghan welcomed the couple's first child, son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Then, in June 2021, they welcomed daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

Harry and Meghan recently reunited with the Duke of Sussex's family last month, for the ceremonies following the death of Queen Elizabeth.

Also in King Charles's office is a photo featuring four generations of the royal family: the late queen with her heirs, Charles, grandson Prince William, and great-grandson Prince George. The shot was taken by photographer Ranald Mackechnie in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace, around Christmas 2019.
