King Charles’ Coronation Guest List

Who will attend and who will skip historic event.

We're less than one month out from one of the biggest events in modern British history—after the death of the country's longest-serving monarch last fall.

King Charles' coronation on May 6 will be the first ceremony of its kind since Queen Elizabeth's grand fete in June of 1953. The ceremony will take place in Westminster Abbey, the setting for every coronation since 1066. The venue seats 2,200 people and despite Charles' request for a streamlined event, we expect every seat will be filled.

Here's what we know so far about who will attend King Charles' coronation.

King Charles' Coronation Guest List

King Charles' coronation is a state event, which means the government controls the guest list.

In addition to members of the royal family, the prime minister, representatives from the Houses of Parliament, heads of state, and other royals from around the world will likely attend. Here's who's attending so far.
