Kind Woman Hailed a Hero for Rescuing Dog Dumped in 106-Degree Texas Heat
When @kaysways heard about a young dog who had been found at a Texas gas station, she knew she had to help. The sweet puppy had been waiting in the shade since the early morning, and temperatures reached 106 degrees by the time this hero reached him. Thankfully, he was healthy and able to go home with her.
Kay, the super mama and owner of animal rescue Refextion Ranch, was well-prepared to keep this little one hydrated, healthy, and happy. We're just so relieved that he's safe and comfortable now!

What a precious baby! We have no idea how he got there, but we sure hope no one purposely left him out in the heat. Luckily, he's living his best life with Kay, now! Just a few hours after being rescued, this Pyrenees pup is as playful as can be.

What a transformation! This handsome pup is doing great after some water, electrolytes, toys, and love. Naturally, tons of viewers are thanking Kay for her dedication to the puppy.
"Some people have that special touch with animals," commented @kspetty15. "I’m glad you found him." So are we! He seems to be settling in so perfectly in his quarantine space (just to be safe!), and recovering well from his time in the heat. So far, no owner has come forward either!
We'd be lying if we said we aren't hoping for this little Great Pyrenees to stay with Kay and her crew, but we'll have to wait and see what's in store. Whatever happens, we know Kay will give an update!
