Kim Kardashian may have been interested in Pete Davidson long before any of us—or even she—knew.

In a new episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, with host Amanda Hirsch, the SKIMS founder spoke of the moment she first met Davidson and the feeling she got when they first kissed.

Kardashian started off the talk by confirming she met the comedian on the day of her Saturday Night Live skit in October 2021, when she was the Princess Jasmine to Davidson's Aladdin. Though they had seen each other days prior, and he had tried to give her his number (in case she needed help with her performance), she said she was wearing gloves at the time and couldn't hold her phone, so he said "cool" and walked away—classic Davidson.

So, during SNL rehearsals, Kardashian practiced with a Davidson stand-in, and on the day of the show, he finally showed up. "He came and we did one dress rehearsal. We did our dress rehearsal and then the real thing," she recalled.

The performance showed Kardashian's funny side, but of course, the most memorable part was when Kardashian and Davidson knelt down on Aladdin's magic carpet and kissed.

"When we kissed, I was just like, really? But yeah, it was a stage kiss, but it was like still like a little zing, you know? It wasn't anything like a super crazy feeling. I was just like, hmm," Kardashian said.

At the time, she was fresh out of her breakup with Kanye West and still figuring out details of their divorce and co-parenting relationship.

"And then I was like, wow, I really haven't kissed anyone else in 10 years," Kardashian continued. "So, maybe I'm just like being stupid and it's just nothing and it's just a stage kiss. And then a few days later I was like, hmm, there is some BDE action. And like ... I just got to get myself out there."

She added that even after that kiss, Davidson was the only cast member who didn't show up to the after party—to which the star wore a hot pink velvet Balenciaga catsuit and matching fur coat.

Still, Davidson eventually got ahold of Kardashian's number (she said he was asking around for it) and the two went on their first date that same month. The mom of four said they didn't want to be in public for it, so they just "chilled and hung out."

"[We] privately hung out first. I don't think our first date, even if we liked each other, would be so public holding hands on that," she said.

Things must've moved pretty fast, because later that month, they were photographed on their first public date at Knott's Scary Farm in Buena Park, California.

Kardashian said she had her security there and had all the cameras turned off, but someone still managed to get shots of them holding hands on the rides.

I don't know who I'm not accusing anyone, but [it] was probably someone that was just there, I'm assuming, because they had every single one, every ride. So, it had to be someone that had access to the camera of every single ride," she said.

Davidson and Kardashian were later spotted walking into the Beverly Hills Hotel together, which pretty much confirmed their romance, but Kardashian said on the podcast that fans will have to tune in to The Kardashians on Hulu to hear the whole story on that.

In the interview, Kardashian also addressed her current relationship with ex-husband West, saying that she will always love him for who he really is and for how much he changed her life.

"We have so much love for each other. We really do. And like we're always family, we're always going to have so much love and we love our kids and we, we both love the time we spent together. You know?" Kardashian said. "I think that we'll always have that and always cherish that. Sometimes it just doesn't work out for whatever reasons, but no matter what, I always just think of like the positive times and think about if you were in a situation and you were hurting and that was your way of expressing yourself."

The star said she and the rapper didn't speak for about eight months after their split, but he was still seeing their kids, and eventually they just started talking again. And while her relationship with Davidson drove him to make some pretty controversial comments on social media, Kardashian has chosen to let that go because she knows West's heart and his good intentions.

"Like I don't, I don't judge. I just, you know, we're always going to be cool, and family even. It doesn't look that way. Like it'll always end up that way. So, everything will always be OK," she said. "And there's just, I have so much love and respect for him and who he's been in my life and what he's brought to me and our amazing kids that, you know, he's changed my life."

When asked what she thinks the about Kardashian-lookalike, Chaney Jones, West has been dating, the reality star said, "I just want him to be happy and like, she seems like the sweetest, like I'm just whatever makes you happy. I don't care what it is."

And while she's committed to maintaining a close co-parenting friendship with West, Kardashian seems to have accepted that their love story is over. "I spent a decade of my life with this person and I just have so much love for him. So, that'll never change, but it doesn't mean that they're the right one for you, and that's OK too."
