Kim Kardashian West’s Skin-Care Guru Launches the World’s Most Adorable Baby Beauty Line

Inspired by the ancient belief that Queen Cleopatra kept her much-admired skin suitably soft and supple with a daily milk bath, top celebrity dermatologist Dr. Barbara Sturm has created a quintet of nourishing, lactescent, baby-safe beauty products entitled Mini Molecular (a nod to her established collection for adults, Molecular, beloved by a loyal clientele including Kim Kardashian West, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Angela Bassett), that launches this week.

“Every mother faces the question, What should I use on my child’s skin?” says the German orthopedist turned beauty guru. “And this line is something they can trust.” Sturm, who is best known for her deft nonsurgical anti-aging treatments, stumbled upon the idea after giving birth to her second daughter, Pepper, three and a half years ago. “I saw the nurses in the hospital cleansing her with these awful wipes and thought, What are they doing?”

Necessity is the mother of invention, and, after choosing to bathe Pepper Cleopatra-style at home (“milk baths leave skin super-smooth and even encourage skin cell renewal,” she says), Sturm used her aesthetic knowledge to imagine an organic, scent-free bathing milk that was equally as effective, and added a body cream, hair and body shampoo, face cream, and diaper cream to round out the collection.

Melding pure, cutting-edge ingredients with a dermatologist’s knowledge, the velvety soft liquids and lotions—which feature almond flower extract, calendula, panthenol, jojoba oil, and sweet almond oil—are created without inflammatory or harmful elements. But Sturm didn’t stop there: Each gentle formula comes beautifully encased in white and blush tubes stamped with adorable images of zoo animals. “Everything is made with love,” says Sturm. “It’s really for mothers who want the best for their kids.”
