Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West Are Still In Love With the State of Wyoming

Kim and Kanye are going west.

The rumors began with TMZ. On September 6, the outlet reported that Kanye West purchased a multi-million dollar ranch in Cody, Wyoming. The property clocks in at a whopping 9,000 acres (but it’s unclear, exactly, whether he bought all of the land or just a parcel of it).

This week, Kim Kardashian West confirmed it: “We love Wyoming, it’s always been such an amazing place,” she said on Jimmy Fallon. “My husband did just buy a ranch there, and his dream and his vision is to move there.”

Gasp! Move there? Is the Kardashian clan decamping from Calabasas? Don’t fret—“I envision summers, I envision some weekends,” Kardashian West said. “It’s the prettiest place you’ve seen in your entire life.”

She went on to hilariously recount a night spent on the property, where Kanye took her and the kids to a cabin with no electricity, indoor plumbing, or cell service (although their were some buildings nearby with all of those amenities). "I'm like, 'that's not my idea of romance, babe!'" she said.

The Kardashian West’s love affair with Wyoming is well-documented. Last year, West hosted his release party for Ye in Jackson, at the Diamond Cross Ranch. He served up barbecue from local staple Big Hole Barbecue, and later, there was an after party at iconic town haunt, Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.

Cody, Wyoming, is a four-hour drive from the famous ski resort town, but maintains the same Wild West appeal. Founded by "Buffalo Bill" Cody in the late 1890s, the historic town sits on the cusp of Yellowstone Park with all its natural wonders: the geysers, the mountains, the roaming hoards of bison and elk. The Shoshone River flows nearby, attracting ardent fly fishing enthusiasts during the warmer months. The area is the epitome of the the great outdoors.

And, as it so often does, the Kardashian-West compound may morph into a family affair. “Even my sisters, everyone, we’ve had this dream of getting a ranch and just spending our summers there and getting away,” Kardashian West added.

Kourtney and Kendall would certainly be down. This summer, the sisters vacationed together at an idyllic retreat in Idaho full of outdoor adventures—tennis, golf, kayaking, and wake surfing. On Instagram, Kourtney relished in it all: “Kamp Kourt,” she captioned a photo. “I even got stung by a bee.”

Does mean that season 18, 19, or 20 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians will have less Rodeo Drive, and more, well, rodeos? It certainly sounds likely.
