Kim Kardashian West Does Futuristic Bodycon in Custom Rick Owens

Last night, Kim Kardashian West attended the Night of the Stars Gala in New York City in an impressively curve-hugging bodycon look, hitting the red carpet in a matte silver off-the-shoulder top and, for the ultimate silhouette-skimmer, a shinier, high-waisted maxi skirt. With her trademark fashion savvy, it came as little surprise to learn that the minimalist yet megawatt ensemble was head-to-toe custom Rick Owens, based on a look the designer’s Spring 2020 collection—all topped off with a pair of naked Manolo Blahnik Scolto sandals with PVC straps. And who should stop by Kardashian West’s side while she posed for the cameras? None other than Rick Owens himself. The designer linked arms with Kardashian West in an equally striking look that included his long, pin-straight inky black hair, a diving V-neck shirt that showed off his perfectly suntanned and sculpted male cleavage, polished pants, and gigantic platform heels.

This is far from the first time that Kardashian West has worn Rick Owens. Back in 2018, she accepted her CFDA awards in a look consisting of a white knotted crop top and, again, a maxi skirt. She doesn’t only reserve outfits by fashion’s dark sorcerer for special events, either: Kardashian West also likes to sport Owens’s pieces out and about in her everyday life. She’s worn a pale tank top while shopping, another for an interview for her most recent Vogue cover (a rusty-brown slinky tube skirt, to be exact), and a black skirt only two days ago to take a fall stroll in Calabasas. It seems that—like most fashion folk—Kardashian West has also fallen under Owens’s stylish spell. All hail!
