Kim Kardashian-West Created Her Version of Kylie Jenner's Face-Washing Routine
Kylie Jenner knows how to keep the beauty world buzzing. The makeup mogul is a certified pro at catching the attention of fans with her frequent product launches and BTS social media sneak peeks, and after causing a stir with her unique face-washing routine, Kim Kardashian-West stepped in to throw a playful jab at her sister.
Following the unveiling of her skincare line, appropriately named KylieSkin, Kylie gave social media a glimpse of how she uses the products. The brief clip had Kylie washing her face, and caused some eyebrow-raising among fans as many pointed out that the product didn't appear to completely remove her makeup, as she only seemed to wash for 10 seconds. However, Kim has come to her sister's defense, posting a hilarious response video that has her taking on the role of Kylie.
As noted by Entertainment Tonight, Kim began a series of Instagram Stories with a clip of her pretending to be Kylie. (The video has since expired, but fans re-posted the clips on social media, naturally.) The reality star then explained that she "hijacked" Kylie's phone to take followers on a tour of the KylieSkin showroom. In the clip, Kim joked that she would give followers a face-washing tutorial, saying, "What [else] do you want me to do in 10 seconds?" She went on to reference her sister's short video, saying, "I would have done the same exact thing....So, guys, what is the big deal here with a 10-second video? That’s all she's got."
After completing her "10-second" tutorial, Kim joked about the results (while wearing the Snapchat baby filter), saying, "Alright, after that 10-second face wash tutorial this is now what I look like. I have such a youthful complexion now. KylieSkin is the fountain of youth, people! All you need is three seconds! I didn't even need a whole 10 seconds. I now look like a baby! I love this KylieSkin." In the background, you can hear Kylie yelling at Kim — all in good sisterly fun, of course.
Kim didn't quite reveal whether she might have a future in doing more beauty tutorials for KylieSkin, but the clip is a good reminder that everyone truly has their own method of face-washing. Whether you take 10 seconds or 10 minutes, how you like to give your face some TLC remains up to you.
