After urging President Trump to commute the sentence of Alice Marie Johnson -and succeeding - Kim Kardashian isn’t stopping her fight for criminal justice reform. She visited a women’s prison and is now calling on California Governor Jerry Brown to sign a bill to protect women inmates.

TMZ reports Kardashian visited the California Institution for Women on Friday to tour the facility and meet with 15 women inmates. Her goal is to eventually start a program to help women adjust once they get out of prison. But she’s also pushing her state government to take action to protect them while they’re still behind bars.

“The [women] I met at CA Women’s Institution are still on my mind and in my heart,” Kim tweeted Monday. “I do hope @GovBrown will sign AB2550 to grant #DignityForIncarceratedWomen #cut50.” The hashtag #Cut50 refers to the organization of the same name that pushes for criminal justice reform.

Kardashian is urging Governor Brown to sign Assembly Bill 2550, which would limit how male prison guards can contact female prisoners. For example, the bill would ban male guards from entering areas where female inmates might be undressed, and would ban them from conducting pat-down searches on female inmates, unless the inmate presents an immediate risk of harm or escape. Male guards would also have to announce their presence when entering housing areas.

This isn’t the first time she’s called out the governor on Twitter. Last month, she asked him to intervene in the case of Kevin Cooper, a death row inmate who says DNA testing could prove his innocence. So far, Cooper is still fighting for that testing.
