Kim Kardashian says selfies are over, and what?!
Kim Kardashian says that the selfie is dead? Say it isn’t so! In a clip for Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim played a game of “Would You Rather?” with her sister Khloé Kardashian. Khloé asks the first question: “Would you rather never be able to post a selfie or never be able to Snapchat again?”
As you might remember, Kim Kardashian used to love selfies so much that she even published a 448-page book full of her own selfies back in 2015 — it was called Selfish. But that was 2015, and this is 2017. And according to Kim’s answer to Khloé’s question, some things have changed.
Kim answered, “I would rather never be able to post a selfie again. Take a selfie. Yeah. I kinda feel like, I dunno, selfies are kind of a few years ago.”
We were definitely not expecting that!

Kim has been sharing fewer selfies than she has in the past, so it seems like she might have truly moved on from the photo art form. In fact, it looks like the last time she shared a selfie was in June!

Is it time to hand over our phones to our friends so they can take pictures of us? We don’t think we’re ready to give up on the selfie just yet. While Kim helped to make the selfie iconic, the photo style has definitely taken on a life of its own.
Keep taking beautiful selfies. Go take some selfies with your friends. If you have fun taking selfies, it doesn’t matter if a new picture trend is on its way in. Snapchat isn’t going to last forever, either. No one can predict what next picture app will become popular And who knows, Kim and the rest of the Kardashians may only be taking a break from the selfie.
