With the final countdown to Christmas upon me, I'm spending my weekend wrapping gifts to make they make it under the tree before the big day comes. Kim Kardashian just revealed on social media that she has beat me to the task. And if you thought only Kim's Christmas trees could one of a kind, you're in for a surprise. Her gift wrap is, too.

"Each year, every family member picks a color and vibe so we know who the gifts are from," Kardashian said as she revealed her wrapping process on Instagram Stories.

For Christmas 2019, Kim chose creamy velvet as her color. As gift wrapping expert Arona Khan shared with House Beautiful last year, fabric is a simple hack you can use to create the perfect finish on awkward packages, because the material is flexible.

"This works really well for bottles of wine and champagne but also children's toys," Khan said at the time.

That's perfect for Kim, who is a mother of four: North (6), Saint (4), Chicago (1), and Psalm (7 months). The youngest of Kim's clan made his debut on the family's Christmas card this year, which sported a different color scheme than their gift wrap. The entire clan dressed down in gray athleisure as they posed alongside dad, Kanye West.

While that very adorable family photo earned praise from fans, Kim's unconventional Christmas trees — which she describes as "like Whoville but all white" — left them divided.

"You'd be forgiven for thinking the above photo is a shot of an open bathroom drawer containing rows of cotton balls and rolled-up washcloths," House Beautiful Senior Editor Hadley Keller wrote as the first images of the trees debuted on social media.

If I'm being honest, I think they're pretty weird, too.

At least fans can take comfort in knowing that Kim is taking a stand for the environment. She's saving trees by choosing cloth wrapping paper over a paper alternative, which can be reused just like her Christmas trees. Let's all make a pledge to join Kim in recycling this Christmas—that's something we can all agree on.
